What would have happened if the earthquake back in 1906 had been five times worse? Imagine the destruction, the thousands of innocent lives taken, and the name the city itself had been given by the earthquake. The city is totally empty, everybody either dead or long gone, not wanting to fall victim to a second earth quake. In this "alternative universe", the dogs have taken over the city, living in it as if it were their own.

SEASONS & WEATHER
SPRING It's pretty nice, aside from the fact that the skies are clouded with ash and risen rubble from the destruction below. But it's clearing up, and the smoke in the atmosphere is thinning out. Things are actually looking pretty good.
Find the rules, plot, and permitted character species in the board. Every thread here has been put here for a reason, and that reason is not for it to be overlooked.
Come here to talk about anything, though make sure you read the OOC rules. Any breaking of said rules will not be tolerated, and will result in punishment.
Come here to advertise your website, though if you'd wish to affiliate please be sure to stick 1906's banner in a visible place on your website, and the same will be done on 1906's front page.
This is where the staff plot things. Things that everybody in 1906 will find out about sooner or later. So don't feel excluded, just be thankful that we've got people thinking things out before actually making big changes to the website.
Create a new character here, and please be sure to follow the form provided. You must wait to be accepted before roleplaying, though when more members join and start making character this rule may be changed.
All pre-made characters and abandoned characters will be placed here to be adopted by whatever user the person abandoning sees fit. The person with intentions to adopt may or may not have to supply an audition.
The logs for characters can be found here, what you feel like adding in is up to you as the roleplayer. If you don't feel so creative, you can just alter the joining form in one way or another if you'd like.
Market Street is a major street - wait, no, it was a major street. Structures on both sides have collapsed into the road, making it completely inaccessible to any type of transportation other than by foot (or paw). Watch your step, the ruins are hot from fire, which still burns in particular places.
Union Square is a plaza that exceeds two and a half miles, though it could be hardly considered a plaza now. It's utterly destroyed, stones upon the ground cracked and lifted from the earth, buildings have been left in ramshackles. Bodies of the deceased litter the earth, though hidden by rubble to a point where they are hardly able to be detected by scent.
Stockton Street begins at Market Street, passing Union Square, and eventually leading into the Stockton Street tunnel. The tunnel is collapsed only partially, leaving something like a doorway in the middle to pass completely through. Stockton Street also passed through Chinatown, which is where it once was a main shopping and business street, though is now left in almost a bigger mess then Union Square. Almost.
In the year 1906, Chinatown is almost completed level, save for a few lopsided buildings with gaping holes in the sides. The streets look like they've been torn upwards from the ground, carriages that were once horse drawn can be found toppled over and crushed.
This isn't even a zoo anymore, maybe a few puddles where lakes and ponds used to exist, filled in by the rubble of fallen buildings and ash from the fire that passed through. Though, stock buildings contain animal food... the animals now inhabiting San Francisco have made several attempt to break in, though none were successful. Only two animals of the zoo were able to live through it's destruction: a wolf and a grizzly bear.
