What would have happened if the earthquake back in 1906 had been five times worse? Imagine the destruction, the thousands of innocent lives taken, and the name the city itself had been given by the earthquake. The city is totally empty, everybody either dead or long gone, not wanting to fall victim to a second earth quake. In this "alternative universe", the dogs have taken over the city, living in it as if it were their own.

SEASONS & WEATHER
SPRING It's pretty nice, aside from the fact that the skies are clouded with ash and risen rubble from the destruction below. But it's clearing up, and the smoke in the atmosphere is thinning out. Things are actually looking pretty good.
Playable Species. « Thread Started on Jul 23, 2008, 3:49pm »
These are the species that can be found on 1906. At the top of the list are the most commonly found, the bottom the ones that you will probably only find one of.
Stray Dog. Draft Horse. Gray Wolf. Grizzly Bear.
It's not much to bother making a list of, plus you really can't create anything below stray dog. Which means you can only create a stray dog. If somebody tries to make a draft horse, the application will not be accepted; same goes for gray wolf and grizzly bear. If you want to play one of those species, audition for it in the adoption board.
For further information, the three draft horses are allowed to breed with one another. They can make themselves into a wannabe herd, however it won't be anything official and they won't claim any land. Merely a gang of nomads.
The Gray Wolf is not at all hostile, having been born and raised in captivity with humans and other wolves that were born and raised in captivity with humans as well. Merely a large domestic canine, the she-wolf will get along with the dogs just as another dog would (however will be slightly more territorial and prone to moodswings), and will not acknowledge the weird second looks she gets. This is to make it so that we don't get a crazy psycho killer wolf that wants to conquer the city and succeeds in doing so. She, like the horses, is allowed to breed. However, seeing as she's the only wolf, whatever offspring she gives birth to will definitely be hybrids.
The grizzly is played by the staff, and is a shared account. Monarch obviously cannot have any children, because he is the only bear in San Francisco. He has no intentions to kill, and may someday become respected by the community of dogs, horses, and wolf (or expected to protect them because of his massive size), though as of now he is just another huge, furry, stereotypically violent face in the crowd.
